The international hotel booking website has conferred its "Guest Review Award" on five RIU hotels after they received excellent ratings from guests

The Riu Plaza hotels from the urban line that received the award are located in Panama, Guadalajara (Mexico), Berlin, New York and Dublin

The Riu Plaza Panama (Panama City), the Riu Plaza Guadalajara (Jalisco, Mexico), Riu Plaza Berlin (Berlin, Germany), the Riu Plaza New York Times Square (New York, USA), and the Riu Plaza The Gresham Dublin (Dublin, Ireland) have been awarded the Guest Review Award 2016 bestowed by Booking.com, the global leader in online hotel reservations. The awards are given to hotels who have been given a score higher than 8 out of 10 by guests who booked through the website and stayed at the hotel. Each guest scores the following categories: "Staff", "Facilities", "Cleanliness", "Comfort", "Value for money" and "Location".

The four RIU hotels awarded this prize belong to the Riu Plaza urban hotel line comprised of hotels located in the centre of large international cities characterized by their modern style, functionality and service which offers all types of amenities for business, as well as holiday travellers.

The Riu Plaza Panama was the first hotel from this line and has 644 rooms. With its 23 function rooms with a capacity of 2,260 people, this hotel stands out in particular for its wide range of options for meetings and events. Since it opened in 2010, it has been chosen by various international political figures and artists such as Bill Clinton, Álvaro Uribe, Ricky Martin, Shakira and Enrique Iglesias. As for the Riu Plaza Guadalajara, it opened its doors in 2011, strategically located on one of the main thoroughfares of Jalisco's capital and has become an emblem of the city. The hotel has 550 rooms and 16 conference rooms with a capacity of 1,345 people.

The Riu Plaza Berlin, inaugurated in 2015, was RIU’s first urban hotel in Europe. It has 357 rooms and is located in an excellent area close to both Ku’Damm — one of the most famous avenues in the city of Berlin — and the world’s major embassies. The Riu Plaza New York Times Square, on the other hand, opened its doors in March 2016 located in the heart of Manhattan just a few steps from Times Square. The hotel has 647 rooms and is the perfect choice for travellers who want to explore the city. Lastly, the Riu Plaza The Gresham Dublin was incorporated to the chain in September 2016. Located on the famous O’Connell Street of the Irish capital, the emblematic hotel has 323 rooms and 18 meeting rooms, and its historic building will celebrate its 200th anniversary this year.
